Latest Media Coverage

The month of June has once again been kind to us from a media perspective.  Bryn was extensively quoted in an article printed in Epicure The Age on the subject of Fructose Malabsorption Allergies (as an aside, it is really good to see the issue of Fructose Malabsorption getting more coverage in the mainstream media - hopefully this will continue to stimulate awareness and product development in this rapidly growing area) and we had some very flattering reviews of our products on two gluten free blogs.  Below are extracts from and links to the articles in question.

On the 28th of June 2011, Epicure The Age published a suprisingly in-depth article about Fructose Malabsorption Allergies.  Along with extensive quotations from one of Australia's leading dieticians in the areas of Coeliac Disease, Fructose Malabsorption Allergies and the Low FODMAP Diet, Dr. Sue Shepherd, there was also mention of Silly Yaks and a few quotes from our own Bryn Pears.

Silly Yaks Products Reviewed by Nellbe

More recently we sent a sample pack of our products to gluten free blogger Nellbe to review.  While we always hope for a positive reaction when we submit products to these sorts of independent reviews, we were more than a little flattered about some of the remarks that Nellbe made in connection with our products.  A few samples are below...

• On the Chocolate & Raspberry Tart: "If I knew I was not going to be here on this earth tomorrow this is what I would have as my last supper."
• On the Mexican Bean & Cheese Pie: "Oh they are so good, yummy bean and cheese filling - buy them and stick them in the freezer..."

We've also recently supplied a sample pack of goodies to West Australian gluten free blogger Gluten Free Geek.  Gluten Free Geek has so far only reviewed our Chicken, Leek & Mushroom Pie, which she enjoyed.  Further reviews will no doubt follow as Gluten Free Geek works her way through the rest of her samples.
