Change to Garlic Bread Recipe

garlic-bread-plated-large

Encouraged by the success of our refinements to our Hot Cross Bun recipe, we have applied the same principles to our "heat and serve" Garlic Bread product.  We're extremely pleased with the results!  As we managed to do with the Hot Cross Buns, we've been able to improve the texture of the Garlic Bread by giving it a crisper, crunchier crust, offset by a softer, fluffier interior.  These improvements do come at a cost, however - the new improved Garlic Bread is no longer a dairy-free product.  Rather, it does contain milk solids, which are used as a softening agent and to improve crumb texture.

Heating the Garlic Bread

The Silly Yaks "heat and serve" Garlic Bread can be cooked straight from the freezer.  Simply follow the steps below:

  1. Pre-heat your oven to 220 degrees celsius.
  2. Remove the Garlic Bread from its plastic packaging, but not from the foil in which it is wrapped.
  3. Place the Garlic Bread on an ovenproof tray or dish and bake on the top shelf of the oven for approximately 20 minutes.
  4. Enjoy!  Please be careful when serving your Garlic Bread, as the butter inside may be very hot.
