Being Australia's premier manufacturer of high quality, 100% wheat free, 100% gluten free bakery products, Silly Yak Foods is naturally listed in most of them. A selection of these directory sites, which provide a great deal of useful information, are listed below.
- Gluten Free Pages
Badging themselves as Australia's premier gluten-free living and lifestyle site, Gluten Free Pages provide details of gluten free news, events, eating places, retailers and manufacturers. They regularly publish information on new gluten free products in the marketplace and provide a gluten free forum for the exchange of information and ideas. Like many other online communities they publish a regular newsletter including special offers and articles from a variety of sources.
- What Can I Eat?
What Can I Eat is an online directory aimed at the broader allergy market. The site is structured to allow users to easily filter the available information according to a wide range of specific allergies and dietary requirements. Gluten Free Blogs
As with all topics, there are plenty of people out there blogging about gluten free food, gluten free eating out, the gluten free lifestyle and generally all things gluten free. A couple of our favourite bloggers (well, the ones who have written about our products, anyway) are listed below:
- Anne Vize
Anne is a freelance writer who also happens to live on a gluten free diet. She publishes articles about a wide variety of subjects, not all of them gluten-free, on a professional writing site called BrightHub.
- Ali V - It's All About Gluten Free
Ali V blogs about all things gluten-free. She has recently listed our products on her site and will be reviewing a variety of them soon.
- Fructose and Me
Kate Morrisson's entertaining blog is focussed on Fructose Malabsorption Allergies, rather than being gluten free. That notwithstanding, it's a good read with plenty of useful information, links and cafe, restaurant and store recommendations.
- Fructose Freak
Another amusing read with a focus on Fructose Malabsorption Allergies rather than just gluten free. Well worth a read if you suffer from a Fructose Malabsorption Allergy.
- Gluten Free Family
This is a family-focussed gluten free blog with a bias towards the NSW market (the authors are based in Sydney). Very much worth a look for its constant stream of interesting and informative updates, product reviews and coeliac disease information.
- Nellbe
Another nicely presented and family-focussed blog by a young mother. Janelle tends to write articles around the subjects of her children and her ongoing attempts to further the art of gluten free cooking. As she is vegetarian, the blog is quite a resource for the underappreciated art of GF vegetarian cooking. She's also written a lovely review of a selection of our products.
