Silly Yak Foods is committed to manufacturing 100% gluten free foods.

The company is located in Melbourne, Australia, and operates Silly Yaks Bakery Cafe. The original idea was to manufacture and sell gluten-free food, but market research indicated it was worthwhile catering for people with other food allergies and intolerances as well.

Our original aim was to produce food for people with food allergies and intolerances which is as good as "normal" food. This has now been carried through to beer.

Ingredients lists for all products are available, so that customers can determine the suitability of any product.

The company was started by Rosemary Hanger and Robert Hinterding, who were later joined by Bryn Pears.

Rosemary has coeliac disease which means she can not eat anything which contains any wheat, rye, barley, or oats. She is also intolerant of caffeine and nightshades, and suffers from fructose malabsorbsion - for Rosemary food intolerances are a way of life.
